Autism Society, Treasure Valley Chapter - Next Meeting is on February 6th

Dr. Burtenshaw, a licensed Chiropractic Physician, will be discussing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy as a treatment for autism.Dr. Burtenshaw has recently added Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (“HBOT”) to his practice and, although he believes that HBOT is not in any way a cure for autism, he does regard it as a safe, non-pharmacological approach to management and quality of life improvement in individuals on the autism spectrum.  He consults with a doctor in California who has been treating autism for over 20 years with HBOT and is a DAN doctor.  He also is in communication with a local physician who has the capacity to do chelation therapy which has shown to increase the benefits of HBOT for heavy metal detox.  In addition, Dr. Burtenshaw also offers Methycobalamin (Methyl B-12) shots and nutritional resources as part of his services.

Dr. Burtenshaw will be discussing HBOT and other treatments he offers that have been effective in helping heal individuals on the autism spectrum.  Furthermore, he is looking for a select group of children in the valley to participate in a clinical trial for a reduced treatment fee to begin collecting data and providing a natural and safe option to improve function and the quality of life in children with autism.  The presentation will be set up like a question and answer session where parents have the opportunity to ask questions about these treatments.

Dr. Kyle Burtenshaw is a licensed Chiropractic Physician and has been practicing here in the Treasure Valley since 2005.  He has worked in group practices, both St. Luke’s and St. Alphonsus hospital outpatient rehab groups and now has his own private practice in Kuna. With the addition of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy he now believes he has a very effective means at offering help to individuals on the autism spectrum.
